Thomas S. Uhlich Sr. began working as a concrete and excavating contractor in the early '70's, after his return from nearly two years in Vietnam as an Army Air Traffic Controller. He has since spent several decades working in the resinous flooring and concrete renovation field, experience which has provided him with his vast knowledge and understanding of cementious materials and resinous coatings. Several of these installations have been featured in various trade journal articles. In the mid 80’s Tom sold his contracting company to become an exclusive independent representative for Silikal North America developing a market for the acrylic reactive resin flooring system Silikal North America manufactured.  Tom developed a twelve state area in the Midwest and throughout the world utilizing at the time, cutting edge computer based marketing and sales programs educating architects, engineers, end users and contractors about this exciting, newly imported technology from Germany. To quote the competition “Tom made Silikal a household name in the resinous flooring community”.

Now close to thirty-five years later, Silikal North America was sold and absorbed by a large conglomerate and no longer exists. However, Tom continues to put his vast knowledge to work here in the United States, as well as at various locations around the world as a consultant and an independent sale representative for a select few product lines that are simply “cutting edge/best of the best”.  These products are for customers who want the best and know better than to gamble with their investment.
